Dragon Boat Festival
Despite Monday's official date, the Dragon Boat Festival was celebrated in Reno on Sunday. The event, organized by the Asian Community Development Council and the Organization of Asian Nevada, included traditional dragon boat races, cultural performances, and various activities. Attendees enjoyed an Asian lunch and received rice dumpling gift bags. The organizers say the festival promotes freedom and liberty while celebrating community spirit, culture, teamwork, and perseverance.
